STMS A/B - P
Practicing
To qualify for a Practicing Qualification in upon completion of the non-practising workshop, you need to complete two (2) closures for your chosen road Category(ies), which must be observed and endorsed by a TTM Mentor.
Course Overview
Closure examples include:
Shoulder closure or multi-lane closure (one of the closures must address either pedestrian or cyclist management) for Cat A roads.
Lane Diversion or ramp closure for Cat B roads.
If your company lacks a TTM Mentor, JR Civil offers comprehensive mentoring verification services.
Additionally, a practical on-site assessment, overseen and approved by our TTM Assessor, covers:
Live lane closure with alternating flow control
If the STMS is exclusively working on a Category A road environment, completion of a live lane closure in that environment is sufficient.
Conversely, if the STMS is solely working on a Category B road environment, they only need to complete a live lane closure in that specific environment.
If the STMS will be working on both Category A and B road environments, live lane closures must be completed for each road environment
UNIT STANDARDS
Upon successful completion of the practical assessment, the STMS A/B qualification will be awarded, dependent on the road categories covered in the assessment. A unit standard (US:31963) can also be awarded providing certain pre-requisite criteria has been met.
